Maths grid 2020 term two results

I am trying to get faster at my times tables. Her is my grath I am not that good at my 9x tables but I am going to practice so that I get better.

The future of spacecraft

This is the second reading we had to do this week which is about the future of spacecrafts. It is telling you about what they are going to send up to space in the future.

This is my slide show about what rockets were used for in the old days and my answers to the questions about the story I had to answer.

Rockets are good

We are still learning about rockets. I had to make a poster with reasons why I think rockets are good or bad. I wanted to do my poster on why they are good.

These are my goals of the week. I think its good to smile because when we smile at someone we can put a smile on somebody else face.

My Dad on our motocross track

This is our motocross track my Dad made. This is him riding it on his pit bike. He is waiting to pick up his new bike and mine so we can race each other.

Lockdown at my house!

I have really been enjoying lockdown with my family. I have been riding my bike every day and my mum runs. The longest bike ride and run we went on was 10km. I even ran times with my Mum. One of those runs was 6km. I hope I can keep doing my bike rides with my Mum when I go back to school.  The motocross track got built on our farm again and I got to test it out but I fell off my bike and hurt my knee so we watched my Dad go round it on his pit bike. I think he is really good at riding motorbikes. On Anzac day one of the kids on the street made lots of poppies and put them on everyone's letterboxes. We all woke up and met at the end of the street and listened to the Anzac service. For ANZAC day everyone on the street woke up really early and one person on the street put poppies on everyone's mailbox. I made Anzac biscuits with my Mum and sister Annie.

I've had lots of fun with my family spending time with them but I have missed riding my pony.

This is picture compares reading one and two together. The stories are similar but when I did this exercise they face different problems and are very different people.

Reading Two

This is my part two reading which links in with the first reading we had to do this week. I found this story really interesting. I liked reading about his art and what he had to do to get back to his homeland.

This is my Reading for this week. We are learning around the wind. This story is about a man that can fly. He goes to find another island that has more land and food for his family.

This is my art work for the week. We had to draw without looking at your paper and you couldn't take the pen off your pice of paper. I thought it was really funny when I had to do all of them. I did a person portrait a tree portrait my teddy bear portrait and my horse portrait.

My heros learning

This is our heroes engine work. I had to make my own hero engine out of a can by making holes with a nail and tying string to the can tag. I filled the can up with water and then had to count how many times the can spun around until all the water was going. It was so fun. My little brother and sister had fun doing it with me too.

My straw Rockets

This is my slide show about my staw rockets. I had a lot of fun making these and found it very interesting.

My Rocket straw DATA

This is the data I collected for the straw rockets I made. I made 3 different sized rockets to see which rocket could fly the furthest. I had to make the rockets out of paper and make fins for them. I had to use a straw and put that up the rocket and blow through it to make the rocket fly. I used my Dad's tape measure and my Mum helped me measure the distances flown of each rocket.

Origami

 

This is my art piece for this week that our class did with Miss Moat. We had to make a rocket because we have been learning about them this week. It is made out of origami. Over the weekend I am going to try making some different things out of origami and will post them on my blog.
